Marion and I met at boarding school sixty years ago and shared a room for three happy years.  After school we went our separate ways as our parent were in the forces but we still kept in touch and she was one of my bridesmaids when I got married. Immediately after my marriage she went out to Singapore with her parents where she met and married her husband, John.  We still corresponded and I had a card saying she had had a baby [Claire].  Then we lost touch for thirty years until our old boarding school started tracing old pupils to arrange a reunion and we met and shared a room again in Birmingham. At the reunion we met many old friends but one in particular, Heather, and we three have remained in touch ever since and met up regularly at different locations in the UK.  Heather and I even went out to see Marion and her husband in Singapore. We have laughed and had many happy times together and we will never forget her.
